Zippin was just named an IDC Innovator in the IDC Innovators: Computer Vision for Automated and Self-Checkout, 2023 (doc #US47252721, September 2023) report. This report recognizes five vendors that deliver innovative solutions that tackle the problem of automated and self-checkout in different ways using computer vision technology.

About Zippin

Zippin tackles one of the most frustrating parts of in-store shopping, waiting at the checkout. The Zippin checkout-free platform uses AI cameras and sensors to accurately track shopper purchases so there’s no need to stop at a checkout or scan items. Upon exiting the store, shoppers are billed for what they take. No lines and no waiting. Stores can operate with little to no staffing required, which helps address universal labor shortages among retailers.

“We are proud to be recognized as an IDC Innovator,” said Krishna Motukuri, CEO and co-founder of Zippin. “It’s exciting being on the forefront of checkout-free technology as it begins to take off, especially with retailers dedicated to speed and convenience.”
