A new Frictionless Market is launching today at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV). The store represents a partnership between First Class Vending Inc, Mars Wrigley, Central Group, Aramark and Zippin to bring a new level of convenience to college students. [The ease and simplicity of these new stores appeal to today’s college students](https://www.getzippin.com/blog/college-students) who like using technology to enhance their daily lives.
Located at the heart of the UNLV campus, the Frictionless Market eliminates the need for traditional checkouts and long lines. Students, faculty, and visitors enter the store with a valid payment method, grab what they want, and zip out. Zippin’s checkout-free platform accurately tracks purchases and automatically charges the customer's account after exiting the store. There’s no checkout line and no stopping to self-scan items at a kiosk. Just an efficient and seamless shopping experience.
[In the announcement,](https://www.linkedin.com/posts/matthew-marsh-b31a20_for-immediate-release-actual-on-campus-event-activity-7114663707481182208-G4sX?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop) Matthew Marsh, CEO of First Class Vending Inc, said, "We are excited to introduce the Frictionless Market to the UNLV community. This innovative concept aligns perfectly with our commitment to providing cutting-edge vending solutions that enhance convenience and efficiency. With Zippin's advanced technology and Mars Wrigley's support, we are confident that this market will exceed expectations and become a hub of convenience for the UNLV campus."
Zippin takes a uniquely flexible approach to checkout-free by delivering solutions tailored to each client’s business model. The UNLV store will operate 24/7 to appeal to hungry students day and night. Zippin’s advanced checkout-free technology allows the store to operate unattended, so long hours don’t mean high labor costs. As an added convenience to students, the Frictionless Market accepts campus cards for payment, with no app required.
The Grand Opening of UNLV’s Frictionless Market is today at 11:00 AM PDT. Students, faculty, and media representatives are invited to attend and experience the future of retail convenience firsthand.
The UNLV Frictionless Market is just one of a number of Zippin-powered checkout-free stores opening across college campuses this fall.
